Awards Section - Up To 4th Quarter 1999


Andrew Kent here. I had givan plenty of thought to what Iacopo's site was before January 1st 2000, since everything seemed to spontaneously begin on that date, and I myself only submitted my first hi-scores to Iacopo on August 27th of that year. It's little wonder then, perhaps, that I've quickly thrown this page together now. The information on this page is brought to you almost exclusively by the wonder that is The Wayback Machine. It should be obvious that this page is far from accurate and it probably always will be. I purely wished that a slightly more permanent record of activity prior to the incorporation of Iacopo's Top 10 Chart pages be kept. Apart from The Wayback Machine, I'd like also to thank Nicholas Harvey, who (if I recall correctly) first drew my attention to it. Perhaps co-incidentally, the very first POD I was able to assign was to Iacopo himself, though that, I believe, is nothing more than an accident of dates. It's quite well known that the History of Iacopo Sorce's Hi-Score pages reaches much farther back than September 1998. It's highly probable that further details are available directly from Iacopo, but I've not sought them, and for reasons of his privacy I'll not be listing his contact details here. Well, this is just another bit of the N64HS' trivia, brought to you courtesy of players past and present. Enjoy it!

No POM or POQ Awards will be assigned. Only the lower Awards will be, to
show that there were active players. Because Records prior to January 1st,
2000 are incomplete, there is little or no point assigning the greater Awards.
