PERFECT DISASTER
As you can tell by the announcement above, there seems to be a problem with some players finding the rules. I recently found that some of Nick Rotmeyer's Perfect Dark times are done with an autofire controller! Not only that, but Wellington Marques also informed me that he didn't know that autofire controls weren't allowed either, and sent a hefty list of scores to retract. To hold players absolutely accountable for looking at the rules before they submit scores, the announcement will stay until I find a better solution to alert unaware players that there are rules that need to be followed!

ARCHIVAL IN PROGRESS AND VOLUNTEERS WELCOME!
Yes, I do know that this update is a day later that it is, but I'll be archiving this soon, along with the rest of the already archived year of 2008. Also, you've probably noticed the slowdown in updates lately. Well, you can help me and Steve with any updates if you feel impatient! Trevor Norgaard has helped in the past, and Steven Brown is working on the Star Fox 64 rankings (half done at the moment). If you help, you also get a spot in the credits page! To help, just send an email to the same email you'd submit scores to, and I'll tell you what you can do to help speed up an update. I will obviously go over what the volunteers have done (even more so than when I update pages), so don't think you'll get to sneak anything in!

TANK MASTERS AND STAR SMASHERS
As usual, Star Fox 64 gets heavy traffic. Trevor Norgaard proves that he has what it takes to break the 260 barrier on Solar with his latest video proof, while Manfred Rieder makes a surprising return with a Solar score that puts him right under the trio of 260 holders. Meanwhile, Thomas Potter improves Corneria and Total Hits with PAL limitations! Steven Brown was hard at work for a Macbeth WR, and finally succeeded with a 380. He was also working on Titania, and tied Dimitrij's 374... until I actually take my first untied WR of Titania for myself with a 375!

SPEED GOLF, THY NAME IS KEVIN
Kevin Cook is really making an impact on the Speed Golf charts lately. With his latest times on Yoshi's Island and Mario's Star, he is now in the top 3 on every single speed golf listing! Way to go man, keep up the pace!

HANI HAS THE PARTY UNDER CONTROL
Hani Habra attempts a few things in Mario Party 2 and 7. He places 5th on Bobsled Run and Driver's Ed Course 1 (both from Mario Party 2), and tries to break the WR time on Fun Run. He got so close, literally a hundredth of a second away from it. Hopefully you'll find out what you're missing!

LOOK AT ALL OF THIS!
Yeah, we've been lagging on the updates lately, so today is pretty much a super condensed mega update, as you can see by the enormous update box above! Also, a surprise is being prepared for this site (some may know it already). Anyways, get ready to catch up on everything that has happened in the past two weeks!

THE CONDITIONAL LIFT ON TREVOR NORGAARD'S BAN
Trevor Norgaard, banned twice for using emulation with cheats enabled, and forging a proof picture, is having his ban lifted for the third and final time in this update. However, for him to submit any scores for any games, he must provide full video proof of the score to ensure that his runs are indeed legit. He has agreed to this, and all of his video proofs will be available to all in the proofs section from here on out.

STAR FOX 64 SURE IS POPULAR LATELY!
Again, I can't really explain the spike in popularity this game has overgone in the past few years, but it's quite astonishing. Steven Brown, Allan Victor, and I are still going at it like usual, but we have another player here! He goes by the name Thomas Potter, and he shows he means business by taking the Sector Y WR, and tying the Meteo Nai WR! I found a new strategy in Sector Z, which could help players increase their scores! I made a video showcasing it, and it's in the proofs section if anyone is curious. Speaking of videos, Trevor has quite a few videos up of very good scores as well.

HUGO TRICKS GRIMSHAW FOR A PERFECT DARK WR
That's right, new player Hugo van der Wolk has recently discovered a new glitch to have Grimshaw follow you into the room you start your run on the Gadget: Disguise. This cuts down the WR by about 8-9 seconds! You can see this amazing tactic in a video in the proofs section.

NON N64 MARIO PARTIES KEEP GETTING THE RECORDS
I find it kind of funny that I barely ever update the N64 Mario Parties, while the GC/GBA/DS ones are sent every week. I guess it's funny because this site is mainly for N64 games, but the newer games are more likely to be played. Anyways, Brett Chisler improves three of his records in Mario Party 5. Also, Julian Revermann and several of his friends take on Mario Party 8, where they tie a few WR's.

KEVIN GOLFS HIS WAY TO A WR!
The second busiest board in the past two weeks is undoubtedly the Mario Golf board. However, the source of ALL the activity for the board comes solely from Kevin Cook. He's been tearing apart the speed golf scene, and makes a new WR for Boo Valley Speed Golf!

DOMINO DOMINATION!
Brett Chrisler sends great times and scores for Mario Party DS, but the real kicker here is that he improved his Domino Effect WR AGAIN!

THE VICTOR IS ALLAN!
Allan Victor sends his new Total Hits score for Star Fox 64, and outdoes Steven Brown's recent improvement! I got my Solar score back to 4th place, and finally got a decent Katina score for the scoreboard, but well deserved spotlight is all Allan's. Way to go man!

QUICK COOK
Shy Guy Desert gets a fantastic score from Kevin Cook in Mario Golf! He ties the WR, but unfortunately had a worse time than the current WR holder, Andrew Kent. He mentions that he could've cut out one more stroke, but luck wasn't on his side for that one, since his shot swerved in a bad direction. He also brings on more times for speed golf. Keep it up!

MITCHELL'S MAGIKARP
Mitchell Tattersall already bumps up his Magikarp's Splash (PAL) record, breaking the tie for 7th, and now ties for 5th!.

Brett Chrisler, known for his Mario Party DS scores, expands his horizons and gets his first score here for an N64 title! It's Mario Party 2 to be exact, but he showed up with a very vice time for Slot Car Derby 2. Keep it up!

DESERTS AND DEFENSE STATIONS
Like we've all come to expect, Star Fox 64 gets its daily updates again without fail. I make nice progress in Titania, with Steven Brown taking it to Area 6!

COOK IN KOOPA PARK
Kevin Cook brings a nice improvement to his score/time in Koopa Park's Stroke Play. He just needs to shave off a bit more time to pass up Nathan Stinson, or find a way to get 1 less stroke.

KARP!
Mitchell Tattersall continues submitting Pokemon Stadium scores, and gets a tie for 4th place in Magikarp's Splash (PAL).

OH GREAT, WHO'S DOING THE UPDATE TODAY? OH WAIT... SOMETHING CONVENIENT!
So... looking back at Steve Ezeta's update yesterday led me to a realization. If the reader had thought that I, Zack Allard, wrote the update, then the whole section concerning my score would sound unnecessarily confusing; like as if I wrote it in the 3rd person for no reason. So, as you can tell from the past 3 updates (including this one), the green "UPDATED" text under the update box now lets you know who's doing the update for each particular day.

CAPTAIN FALCON GOES FALCON PUNCHING AND KICKING TARGETS TODAY
That's right, Howard Bloomfield took his Captain Falcon BtT record, and shaved about .4 seconds off of it! This new time bags him 3rd place!

THE ARID DESERT PLANET GETS DOMINATED BY MR. BROWN
Steven Brown takes his old Titania record in Star Fox 64, and tacks on over 10 points, landing him in a very solid 3rd place for the planet! It was a bit tough to decide the POD, since both records by Howard and Steven have them take a score and rise to 3rd place, but I think I have to hand over the award to Steven, since he has a slightly more solid lead compared to Howard in their respective charts. Good job to both of you!

STARFOX INSANITY, Y'KNOW, THE USUAL
Steven Brown submits small improvements here and there, Allan Victor MASSACRES several of his old scores, and heightens about 5 of his own WR's on various planets. Not to mention he submitted video proof for all of them. Steven's consistency in submitting scores nabs him the first 2 July POW's, while Allan's recent wallop of scores easly makes him the 3rd POW winner for July. I got a score in Corneria... it's, of course, of no comparison to the grand achievements listed above.

ERIC FRICHTER TAKES ON CHICAGO'S STREETS, AND RACES AWAY WITH THE GOLD
We have a new player here! First thing he does is secure a very nice WR on the Chicago course in Cruis'n USA. Of course, he also submits video proof of his proud accomplishment! You can check it out in the proofs section if you want to check it out.

PARTIES... OF THE MARIO PERSUASION
Howard Bloomfield starts up Mario Party 2, and entered some pretty decent opening times for the Slot Car Derby tracks. Julian Revermann continues collecting more Mario Party WR's like they were nothing. He improved his Domino Effect WR, and just takes "Book It!" WR along with it.

WELLINGTON MAULS A COUPLE OF PERFECT DARK TIMES
Wellington Marques picks up the Phoenix and Mauler, and makes nice improvements on both. He's tied for 2nd on the Phoenix time now; he's just .04s away from the WR now!

THERE'S NO MERCY FOR STARFOX HERE
Star Fox has been getting radically popular for submissions over the past few years. Steven Brown continues his daily onslaught of Star Fox runs, while Marcel tosses us a few scores, and a promise for videos soon. Speaking of videos, Allan Victor gives us video proof for his 354 Corneria WR he just submitted!

KEVIN GOLFS IN TOAD HIGHLANDS TODAY
Phew, what a relief to see some non Star Fox related scores. Kevin Cook improves a great deal over his last Mario Golf record for Stroke Play in Toad Highlands. He's also submitted proof of this record (up in the proofs section now). He's got the best time for the 3rd place tie!

BRETT CHRISLER PARTIES AND PROVES
Looks like Brett is not finished with building up a better Mario Party 6 file (if you recall, it got erased recently). He moves on up to 3rd place in Snow Whirled, and he submits proof of recent WR in Mario Party DS; his 9"88 time in Domino Effect. Seriously, all the scores I've been getting came to a screeching halt lately. Despite that though, Steven Brown has managed to squeeze scores here and there in Star Fox 64, winning him an easy POW for the last week of June. Speaking of which...

FORGOTTEN POWS... SORRY
Yeah... it seems like both me and Steve Ezeta forgot to award a POW for 2 weeks after the first POW of June. Not surprisingly enough, Steven Brown was the one who eagerly pointed this out to me. Those have been given out at the top now. It was a close one for the POM between Marcel and Steven, but I had to lean toward Mr. Brown's direction when giving that award out because he's been pretty faithful lately in submitting improvements on his already tough scores to top.

MARCEL UPS THE ANTE WITH STARFOX SCORES OF HIS OWN!
Once again, Marcel throws Star Fox 64 improvements at us like rapid fire. There are 8 improvements total, and even though they're all reletively modest improvements (1-4 points), it's still great to be able to best yourself in virtually everything a game has to offer.

SO "LONG" TO KATINA, MIKE
So... it's been brought to my attention over and over again that Mike Long's Katina record in Star Fox 64 is absurdly high, at 369. Breaking 300 hits here with 9 bombs is a remarkable feat, but 369 is simply too incredible to be luck alone. I tried to contact Mike about this score, and gave him about 2 weeks to respond with how he got this score. I never got a response. So, his score is being taken down for the time being. Mike, if you want it back up, you simply have to respond to the email I sent you with an explanation. You won't be banned, but I think fellow players deserve an explanation, while you deserve a chance.

My email is webmaster@thelylatsystem.com. This site will be getting some major tweakings in the near future. Be sure to stay tuned and visit often! UPDATE: Steve's email is not the place to send scores to. Send all of your scores and proofs to n64highscores@gmail.com from now on.

FROM SHIPS TO TRAINS
Looks like Steven Brown hits it again and boosts his StarFox 64 score in MacBeth by 1 point!

PARTY HARDY
Julian Revermann scores, and scores hard for Mario Party Advance! He improved his time on Dreadmill once again! Could this be the highest possible score?

STEVEN SNATCHES A WR, MARCEL FOLLOWS UP WITH IMPROVEMENTS
Yep, Steven Brown seems to have taken back the Sector Y WR in Star Fox 64, then Marcel followed that up with some improvements of his own.

MORE MARIO PARTY MADNESS
Not from Julian though; this time, Brett Chrisler played some Mario Party DS, and got a few WR's to boot!

New Front Page Design

NEW FRONT PAGE!
I told you I would give the site a new look! I felt it was time for something new to happen to the site, and this new design is a start of things to come. I'm going to leave the site this way for about a week, and let you send in your thoughts on the site's new look. If I get a generally positive response, then it stays; if not, then I'll revert it back to the old style. I'm hoping that perhaps all the game pages could go through the same renovations that this page went through. I might change parts of the design, so don't think something is wrong with your browser if something changes unexpectedly. I'd like to hear your thoughts, so send an email here zallard1@comcast.net if you have anything to say. NOTE: This is not the email address to submit scores to! Submit all your scores at n64highscores@gmail.com

JULIAN CONTINUES THE PARTY
The only score I got today was a single score from Julian Revermann, and it was yet another improvement on his Dreadmill WR in Mario Party Advance. Doesn't seem like he'll be stopping his Mario Party rampage anytime soon.

N64HS IN NEW HANDS
Welp, Nick is no longer the updater of N64HS. Now I (Zack Allard) and Steve Ezeta will be managing the updates and the site for the foreseeable future. I did the update myself today, because I couldn't contact Steve Ezeta, but I imagine this site will definitely see updates more frequently than it has lately. I haven't decided whether or not this site will see its own domain name, but I'll look into it at a later time. I have a few ideas on cutting memory usage (since the site is kind of cramped at the moment), and possibly give the site a new look, so look forward to that! Hopefully we can fill the shoes of the past owners of the site. Finally, I'd like to give a thanks to Nick for taking care of the site for 5 years, and Iacopo Sorce for making this site.

MARCEL DEBUTS WITH SOME STAR FOX 64 ACTION
It's always great to see more people playing this game (anyone knowing me... I'm all about this game). Marcel Schalhorst submitted several scores for SF64, and for being a new player they aren't half bad!

MANY MARIO PARTIES!
I suppose Julian Revermann felt like having a Mario Party-a-thon, and improved several of his already impressive WR's in SIX different Mario Parties! None of which were N64 titles, but it's still very impressive.

Mario Party 1, 2, 3 (PAL) - Perfect Dark (Firing Range Pages) - Star Fox 64

THE FIVE YEARS WE HAVE HAD HAVE BEEN SUCH GOOD TIMES
This is my final N64HS update before Zack Allard takes over the site, and it's business as usual for the most part. Wellington Marques and Steven Weerdenburg are playing Perfect Dark, Steven Brown is breaking new barriers in Star Fox 64, Dimitrij Jarowoj and Allan Victor have new Nai WRs there... and yes, we have one new player, the Dutch prodigy Alvin Van Asselt who at 14 is one of the highest ranked players in Super Mario Kart, landing a worldwide Top 20 time in that game (for you SMK fans out there, http://mariokart64.com/smk/ is the official competitive site).

The reasons for me retiring from the N64HS captain's chair are multiple. First, nobody in the site's history has been owner for five consecutive years. Not even Iacopo Sorce, the very person who created it. Also, my Geocities account has nearly exhausted its storage space through years of archiving news-- I haven't been able to keep all features of the site up-to-date due to the storage constraints! A domain change would be welcome. In the mean time send your scores to n64highscores@gmail.com and I will help him out with it if necessary. I may even take time to send him updated HTML for N64HS's auxiliary features such as Nai WRs, Awards, and Rankings. Hopefully Zack, who I expect to enlist the help of Steve Ezeta, can restore a bigger N64HS to the days of spotless upkeep that it enjoyed during the days of Iacopo Sorce.

Don't worry everyone-- I expect N64HS to be better than it ever was before! Our site won't LACK when we've got ZACK!

IN MEMORY OF JACK
I dedicate today's update to Jack Alexander of Seagoville, Texas, a friend of mine who passed away yesterday at the age of 77.

THE BIG SWITCH IS UPON US
Only ten days remain until N64HS passes into new hands. It appears as if the new ownership will be a joint venture between Star Fox 64 players Zack Allard and Steve Ezeta. I'll do one final update later in the month, and then I can't wait to see what a new owner can do for the site! I'm hoping we can get our own domain name!

JUST ONE GAME TODAY
The only page I did today was Mario Party DS, where we've got new records from Dave Phaneuf, Jamie Thompson, and Brett Chrisler.

Excitebike 64 - Perfect Dark (Firing Range: All) - Star Fox 64

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE CREATOR OF N64HS
I've chosen today to do the front page update to honor Iacopo "Nai" Sorce, the Italian creator of N64HS, who today turns XXVI (that's 26). Buon anniversare.

BIG WR LANDS ALLAN THE POW
Allan Victor breaks a Nai WR in Star Fox 64 to become the Player of the Week, reaching a record 425 on Sector Y. He is the "Victor" in this update, indeed.

THE STARS ARE STILL OUT
The stars of the Star Fox 64 page are still shooting: Steven Brown, Ricky White, and Gilberto Luciano have many new scores along with the aforementioned Allan. Steven, as a matter of fact, is now working towards a new Nai WR of his on, in Meteo.

STEVEN PLAYED PERFECT DARK TOO...
Not Steven Brown, but Steven Weerdenburg. He hasn't made any new WRs yet but has much more solid times for the weapons in the Bronze, Silver, and Gold medals.

"I WANT TO RIDE MY BIKE"
Bryan Swartz wants to ride his bike, and wants to ride it where he likes. Lately he's been riding it to Nashville, Detroit, and Las Vegas. He doesn't have any new WRs in Excitebike 64 today but what he does have is a more solid set of times!

BUSY MR. BROWN GETS SECOND STRAIGHT POM
Steven Brown has been the only player busy through the entire month, so he's easily the April POM, after already having won March POM and POQ! Hardly a day goes by when he isn't playing! If he's not making WRs, he's still breaking barriers in Star Fox 64 that no American has broken before!

MORE FROM MITCH
We welcomed Mitchell Tattersall from Australia in the last update, and he continues to deliver with promising new records for more games including Banjo-Kazooie and F-1 World Grand Prix. We'd like to see you try your hand at some other games, Mitch... I know you've got a collection!

WELLINGTON FARES WELL
Another highlight of the past two weeks is Wellington Marques who has shattered his old Totals in the Firing Range with lots of new weapon times, and did I mention Nai WRs?

A LITTLE BIT OF PARTYING... TO CELEBRATE MY LAST MONTH AT N64HS?
As you may know I'm going to announce a new N64HS webmaster by the end of this month, as it is time for someone else to give it their shot (I've only been running this site for FIVE years, longer than anyone else has...) and I'd like to see how someone else will maintain the site. I always dreamed of having N64HS at n64hs.com, maybe my successor will be able to do that? Anyway, a few players are already throwing paries: Brett Chrisler, formerly known as George Harvard, broke out the Wii, while Ryan Black preferred to party on a smaller scale on his DS. Bigger things did indeed come in the smaller package: It was Ryan, not Brett, who cranked out a handful new Nai WRs!

Players List

FORMER U.S. CHAMPION AND POY WINNER IS DISQUALIFIED
Many players have begun to point out to me that Mark Johnson, the Player of 2005 and one of N64HS's most controversial players, had been forging his proof photos, and after taking a good look at them, I have made the decision to disqualify him from N64HS. Mark's refusal to provide video proof as well as his sudden disappearance from the N64HS scene in 2005 left many players suspicious, and even made the Super Smash Bros. Bonus champion, Isai Alvarado, resign. I'm very sorry that all of this has occurred and hope that Isai will return, possibly when ownership of N64HS changes next month, and that Mark will learn a valuable life lesson: cheaters never prosper.

THE BATTLE OVER THE WRS
Three new WRs were made in Star Fox 64 in the past two weeks, and one WR changed hands twice. Dimitrij Jarowoj made new Titania and Venom WRs, while Steven Brown made one in Aquas... only to have it taken back by Manfred Rieder who is the first player to break the 350 barrier there! Steve is also the second player to reach 340 on Corneria! Also look for new scores from R\'fcdiger Dinges and Allan Victor.

TWO "CENTS" WORTH
There's a new player today, Mitchell Tattersall from Australia, and he makes his world premiere with a pair of third-place Penny Racers times. Finally, Kevin Cook wraps up the update with a second-place Mario Golf score.

BREAKING NEWS: I FOUND THE TRIFORCE IN OCARINA OF TIME!
For years it has been rumored that the Triforce is hidden somewhere in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I have FOUND IT, and it's located in a secret temple called the Light Temple! Click here to read the full story on how to access the Light Temple and obtain the Triforce, because when you get it, you have finished the game and will get to see an alternate ending!

STEVIE B. IS THE MAN TO BEAT!
I'm not talking about the singer who had a #1 hit with the romantic ballad "Because I Love You (The Postman Song)". N64HS has its own Stevie B., with a new #1 hit of his own: Star Fox 64, Total Hits! He broke the Nai WR on Sector Y, too! With the amazing progress he's made in these last few months, I bestow upon him the second-highest award you can get at N64HS, the Player of the Quarter!

THIS VENOM IS QUITE LETHAL
Dimitrij Jarowoj delivers a deadly dose of Venom in this update, beating the old WR by nearly twenty points! Steven has a new score here as well. Star Fox 64 has been anything but quiet in two weeks: new scores also come from Winfried Merdes (with a new WR on Macbeth), Henrique V. Bulio, Marcus Vinicius B. de Souza, Allan Victor, Manfred Rieder, and Gilberto Luciano de Oliveira! It's clear that Brazil is rapidly establishing itself as new the Star Fox 64 superpower, and if Allan continues his efforts we may see the first Brazilian world SF64 champion!

WE TOLD YOU BRAZILIANS KNEW HOW TO SHOOT
As usual, there's a host of new Firing Range times from none other than Wellington Marques, who has established himself as the new Firing champion!

LINK, AND THE LINKS
Ryan Black has made some Nai WRs Tie with Link in the aforementioned Ocarina of Time (go get that Triforce, Ryan!), while Kevin Cook hits the links and makes a second place score in Mario Golf.

BLACK, WHITE, BROWN, AND GREEN
Yep, this is my way of celebrating the Irish in me. Anyway, we've still got Ryan Black, who has new Nai WRs in Quake II, and Ricky White, with Star Fox 64 and Excitebike 64 scores, but to add to the confusion we also have a Ryan White who is also from Canada! Ryan takes all the WRs in Speed Golf. The rainbow of colors in today's update is completed by Steven Brown who has an amazing Total Hits in Star Fox 64! (Speaking of Star Fox 64, Winfried Merdes has made a really cool picture that can be seen here!)

WHO HAD THE LUCK OF THE IRISH?
Many other players have gotten lucky indeed in the past two weeks, with Allan Victor matching Steven Brown's feat of topping 2,600 Total Hits in Star Fox 64, Wellington Marques making new Nai WRs in the Firing Range, and Kevin Cook and Jack Cogan making nice headway in their respective Mario Golf and SSB Targets.

A BLACK AND WHITE AFFAIR
The theme of this update is black and white! We'll start with White first, as in, Ricky White. We've decided to give him one more chance at N64HS, as we did with Trevor Norgaard in the past. Trevor blew his second chance and we're testing Ricky White's honesty to see if he won't suffer the same fate. He's got scores for Star Fox 64 and Pokemon Stadium. I've got to be fair to him and give him another shot!

Then we've got Black, as in, Ryan Black! He set a new Nai WR in Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire and put another time in the top three too.

WHAT ELSE HAS HAPPENED
Two more players broke the 2,500 Total Hits barrier in Star Fox 64, Adam Rose got a new SSB score and Kevin Cook made another top three in Mario Golf.

STILL HERE, BUT MAYBE NOT FOR MUCH LONGER
I've been very busy, so it's been getting tough to keep up with all the incoming scores! I am still one week behind, but I decided to update this page today to announce the winners of the Awards for the last week of January and the first week of February. In fact I'm seriously considering changing ownership of the site, and if I get any takers, I'm annoucing a "winner" on May 24 to mark five years of my time updating N64HS, which is actually longer than the time that creator Iacopo Sorce spent on it! One must have a lot of spare time to maintain this site, editing HTML by hand can get very tiring after a while!

NEW PLAYER HITS BIG WR
The elephant in the room in this update is Allan Victor, who has become the first player to make the 340 mark in Corneria in Star Fox 64. We have finally approved his record after posting a video and receiving approval from several other players.

MORE WELLIE WARFARE
Wellington Marques shows off his own marksmanship in Perfect Dark where, as always, he makes many new Nai WRs.

SPACE SKIRMISH
In addition to the groundbreaking WR from Allan Victor, we have the usual constellation confronations of Felipe Willian and the new player Steven Brown, as well as Gilberto Luciano de Oliveira. In space, no one can hear their screams!

STILL PLAY THE ORIGINAL SUPER MARIO KART?
This is the official competitive site for the original Super Mario Kart on the SNES, which I have been playing for the past three months. I'm in a tight race with another player from Mississippi, and I'd be honored to have him on this site! If any of you out there play or used to play this game well come send your times and see how you stack up! I'm currently ranked as a Veteran and you can check out my progress there or on this page, created by me.

ANOTHER WIN FOR WELLIE
Wellington Marques makes the second POW of the new year with his steady stream of Nai WRs in Perfect Dark's Firing Range. He makes them look so easy. He may begin the Gold Medals by our next update.

STAR FOX GETS YET ANOTHER "STEVEN"
"Steven" seems to be the most popular name for Star Fox 64 players. We have Steven Zwartjes, Steven Hoying, Steve Carmody... and today, we can add Steven Brown to the list. Some of his new records are quite good.

POOR, POOR ANDROSS...
Andross always hates it when players tear through the Venomian defense and defeat him in the inner core, but I've got to really feel sorry for the deranged ape today. Manfred Rieder totally laid waste to Andross's home planet of Venom this week, making a brand new Nai WR. There's also new scores from R\'fcdiger Dinges and Gilberto Luciano.

DS = DEUTSCHE SCORES?
The Mario Party DS page has seen the most action today, with Julian Revermann and Christian Revermann coming to claim the better part of the WRs. Another new player to the page, Matt Vanderwouw, also puts his name in a few of the 1st Place spots. I've even got two WRs. In fact the only inactive player is George Harvard, who sent in the very first scores!

HE'S "MYLES" AHEAD OF THE PACK!
Myles Bukrim announced that he has gotten under a minute on the Abyss track in Episode I Racer! Not only that, he's also got a video of this amazing time! Have you seen it?

WELLINGTON IS A REAL WARRIOR
Wellington Marques more than meets my expectations by following up last week's Perfect Dark Bronze Medal Nai WRs with, well, more Nai WRs. He should try his hand at the Silver Medals now! We're sure he'll put some of the current Nai WRs in the silver.

NEW PLAYER COMES IN A-SWINGIN'
Kevin Cook hits the links and links himself up with some top five spots on the Mario Golf page. Interestingly he is starting with the last two courses. I guess he wants to get the hard part out of the way :-)

FIRST NAMES UP ON THE MARIO PARTY DS PAGE
Our first ever records for a DS game have come in courtesy of George Harvard. I can't wait to try my hand at the mini-games to see if I can beat him... or for Dave Phaneuf and his gang to raid the page and put George to the real test.

WATCH OUT FOR WELLIE!
We've learned before that when a new player with the initials "W.M." comes to town, everyone had better watch out! We're sure that Wellington Marques is going to stay busy in Perfect Dark and give returning player Nathan Stinson quite a fight to hold on to his newfound second-place total time. The fruits of Nate's work are probably going to be safer on the Blast Corps chart where there are no other active players.

2008'S FIRST NEW PLAYER
Our new player today is named Ashley Hayward. He (please don't mistake him for a girl, given his first name) debuts with a 10th place time in F-1 World Grand Prix.

I'd like to hear your input on the possible reversal of Trevor Norgaard's ban from N64HS. He had been disqualified for using a modified game on a Wii, and has now gotten a regular copy of the game for the N64. He promises never to play outside the rules again.

Star Fox 64 Rankings - New Game Page

NEW YEAR, NEW GAME
We start off 2008 by announcing that a new page is up for Mario Party DS. This is our first page for a Nintendo DS game.

CLOSE, CLOSE RACE FOR THE POY
Felipe Willian and Manfred Rieder were very close competitors for the Player of 2007. Felipe won the most awards by far in the second half of the year, including both POQs, but it was Manfred who made his Star Fox 64 debut at the beginning of 2007, and ended that year with Nai WRs and the possibility of soon becoming the world champion. Manfred was active throughout the year and set the better scores of the two players. CONGRATULATIONS MANNY, YOU ARE THE PLAYER OF 2007! KEEP IT UP IN 2008!

SCORES TO COME SOON
Of course there are a few new scores, but surprisingly, Star Fox 64 was not played in the final week of 2007. Look for updates to the score pages possibly tomorrow. For now, we have new rankings for Star Fox 64, courtesy of Andrew Kent, who I'd really like to thank for helping me vastly in deciding who to crown the Player of 2007!
